Job Description: Data Analyst (Social Sciences - Sociology)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in the field of Social Sciences, with a focus on Sociology. Key Responsibilities:

3. Apply advanced statistical methods, such as regression analysis, factor analysis, and hypothesis testing, to explore relationships between variables and develop predictive models.
4. Interpret data findings and present concise and clear summaries, reports, and visualizations to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design research studies, develop data collection methodologies, and define measurable objectives.
6. Conduct literature reviews to stay up-to-date with the latest sociological theories, concepts, and research methodologies.
7. Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality and reliability.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements to streamline data collection and analysis processes.
9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in the handling of sensitive data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
2. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the field of Sociology or a related discipline.
3. Proficient in statistical analysis software, such as SPSS, SAS, or R, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
4. Strong knowledge of quantitative research methodologies and statistical techniques commonly used in Sociology.
5. Solid understanding of sociological concepts, theories, and frameworks.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
7. Proficient in data cleaning, data manipulation, and data validation techniques.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary research teams.
